- Open the Commodities tab on the home screen.
- Tick that you agree to the commodities trade classification.
- Tap Activate Commodity.
- If asked, upload income proof: a bank statement, salary slip, DP holding statement, ITR acknowledgement or Form 16.
- Activation typically takes 24–48 hours.

Commodity F&O is a flat ₹10 per executed order, the same as equity F&O, with zero brokerage for the first 30 days. Commodity Transaction Tax is 0.01%, on the sell side only, well below the 0.05% to 0.15% Securities Transaction Tax on equity F&O.
Sell commodity futures worth ₹1,00,000 and the CTT is 0.01% of that: ₹10. Brokerage on the order is another ₹10 (or nothing in your first 30 days).

Do I need a new account or app?
No. Commodities are in the same SAHI app, with the same login and the same funds.
How long does activation take?
Typically 24–48 hours. If your F&O income proof is from the last 12 months, nothing more is needed.
