What matters before 9:15 am?

Morning Bytes is a one-page pre-market brief. It sets out what the market did, what it has not yet confirmed, and the conditions that would change the picture, in the order you would want to read them before the open.

  1. OvernightWhat moved while the market was shut
  2. Not yet confirmedWhat the prices have not proved
  3. The ranges that matterThe marked levels, and what a close beyond them would mean

Illustrative edition, not live market data

Recovery is not confirmation.

Prices have recovered from lower levels, but the marked ranges remain intact. The next useful evidence is a completed close beyond a boundary.

There is no reviewed edition yet. This is an illustration of the format, made with made-up prices for design review. It is not a report on any real session.

Before the bell

  • The recovery has not cleared the upper references.
  • 280 of 500 sample stocks advanced; sectors diverged.
  • Wait for the stated close, not merely a price touch.

Descriptive, not advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to trade.

Automatic edition

Written every trading morning before 9:15 am by fixed rules from Sahi market data, and not reviewed by an analyst. Each figure shows the time it was read; a piece that could not be read is shown as missing, never estimated.

The latest automatic edition appears here when the page can read it.

Data desk

Every piece of the brief and where it comes from. With the automatic edition loaded, each row shows whether it was read this morning and at what time.

All editions

Newest first. Each one carries its own status.

  1. Illustrative edition, not live market dataRecovery is not confirmation.

How it is made

Every edition is a data file, and it moves through three review states. The state is printed on the edition, never chosen by the page that shows it.

  1. Illustrative sample

Made-up prices and fictional stocks, used to check the layout and the wording. It says so on its face, and it is never live market data.

  2. Unreviewed draft

A real edition that nobody has checked yet. Figures, sources, rights and wording are still open, so drafts are not published here.

  3. Reviewed

Checked line by line against its sources, and approved. Only a reviewed edition is offered to search engines.

Figures are prepared from public market information and Sahi's own market data, for information only. Each edition lists its sources and its cut-off time.

How to read it

  • Reading order: conclusion, then evidence, then conditions.
  • Descriptive, not advice. The brief says what the numbers show and what would confirm or challenge them. It does not tell you to buy or sell.
  • Read the label first. An illustrative edition or an unreviewed draft is not a report on a real session.
